Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. About the service
Twirldress ("Twirldress", "we", "us") is an independent, self-funded project that lets you see dresses — including dresses designed by players of the game Dressmaker — on your own body using AI image generation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Dressmaker or its developers, Cozy Lives / Free Lives. "Dressmaker" is used only to describe the origin of the community designs shown in our library.
By using twirldress.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What the Service does — and doesn't promise
The Service generates AI images ("Results") that combine a photo you upload with a dress image you choose or upload. AI generation is probabilistic: Results may differ from the source dress in details, may not perfectly resemble you, and may contain artifacts. We provide the Service "as is" without any warranty that Results will meet your expectations.
You keep all rights to the photos and dress images you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process them for the sole purpose of producing your Result. We claim no ownership of your uploads or your Results.
3. AI models used
The Service uses well-known, commercially licensed image-generation models, and we say which:
- Seedream 4.5 (ByteDance) — used for free-tier try-ons;
- Nano Banana Pro (Google's Gemini family image model) — used for credit-based try-ons;
both executed on infrastructure provided by fal.ai as our inference provider. Model choices may change as quality and safety evolve; the model shown on your result screen is the one that produced it.
4. Acceptable use & content standards
Twirldress is a dress try-on tool — nothing else. The Service must not be used to generate content that falls into any of the following six prohibited categories:
- Sexual / NSFW content — any sexual or sexually suggestive imagery, including nudity and fetish content;
- Violence / gore — graphic violence, gore, mutilation, or cruelty;
- Hate speech — content that attacks, dehumanizes, or incites hatred or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or another protected characteristic;
- Child safety (CSAM) — any content that sexualizes or endangers minors. We have zero tolerance: such material is blocked, reported to the relevant authorities, and the account is permanently banned without appeal;
- Deepfakes / impersonation — generating or altering images of a real person without their consent, including non-consensual intimate imagery, misleading representations, or impersonation of real individuals or brands;
- Copyright / trademark infringement — uploading garments, artwork, or photos you have no right to use, or generating Results that copy protected designs.
Beyond these categories, you also agree NOT to:
- use the Service to deceive anyone (including passing AI output off as a real photograph of a real event or person);
- submit jailbreak prompts intended to bypass our or our providers' safety systems;
- circumvent free-quota limits, attack, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
You are responsible for the uploads you make and for how you use Results. If you share a Result publicly, label it as AI-generated where your audience would otherwise assume it is a real photograph.
5. Content reporting
If you encounter content generated through the Service that violates Section 4 — or if someone has used your likeness or your designs without permission — report it to support@twirldress.com with the subject line "[Report]". Please include the image or a description and, if possible, the account email involved.
Reports are handled under three principles: confidentiality (we protect the identity of reporters), neutrality (reports are reviewed objectively), and anti-abuse (knowingly false or malicious reports are recorded and may lead to actions against the reporting account).
6. Content moderation
Content safety on Twirldress operates on three layers:
- Automated filtering — uploads and generated output pass through the safety systems built into our licensed image models, which block the prohibited categories in Section 4 before and after generation;
- Human review — reported content is manually reviewed by the operator, and accounts that triggered reports may be reviewed in full;
- Periodic sampling — we periodically sample generations to check that the automated filters are working as intended.
When a violation is confirmed, enforcement follows this ladder:
- warning and request to stop;
- removal of the offending content;
- feature limits (e.g., generation quota reduction);
- account suspension;
- permanent ban;
- referral to law enforcement, for content suspected to be illegal (always applied to child-safety violations).
If your account or content was actioned and you believe this was a mistake, reply to the enforcement notice or write to support@twirldress.com — appeals are reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision.
7. Dress designs in our library
The ready-to-wear dresses in our library were created by players of the game Dressmaker and are presented as tributes to those community creations. Design rights in the underlying garments and any game assets remain with their creators. If you are a creator and want your design removed from our library, write to support@twirldress.com and we will take it down promptly.
8. Free use and paid credits
Your first try-on is free (standard quality, watermarked). Additional try-ons use prepaid credits — one credit = one premium-quality, watermark-free try-on. Current credit packs are published on our Pricing page and shown at checkout before you pay. Credits are personal to your account, are not transferable, and have no cash value. If a generation fails, the credit is not consumed. Refunds for unused credits are available on request within 14 days of purchase, to the extent required by the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
9. Accounts
Signing in with Google is optional and gives you account-based quotas. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Availability, changes and termination
We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If you break these Terms, we may block your access without notice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Twirldress and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, to the greatest extent permitted by law). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects mandatory statutory rights of consumers.
12. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Twirldress's operator is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring claims in your local courts, that right is unaffected.
